2 Months Old

Our little girl is 2 months old today...how time flies! Some of the things Maya enjoys are sleeping, kicking her legs, her doggie Gracie, and weekly visits from Grandma and Grandpa Barton. Sara is loving being a stay-at-home Mommy and Brad is enjoying being a work from home Daddy. Our friends and family have been so kind in welcoming Maya into her new world. From meals to thoughtful cards to generous gifts, we have been incredibly blessed to have such wonderful people supporting us in our new life with Maya.

Storm spotting season is once again upon us, so as trained storm spotters we have been keeping our eyes to the sky and ears to our Ham Radios. Our littlest storm spotter sleeps soundly through the loudest of storms...they must be music to her ears;)

Brad had a wonderful Father's Day weekend as a New Daddy. The three of us enjoyed a beautiful picnic at a local forest preserve on Saturday and a bbq with Sara's parents at our home on Sunday. Maya especially loves her Grandpa Barton and all the foot rubs he gives her! We have the Folkens Family Reunion this week and are looking forward to introducing Maya to her Great Grandma Folkens for the first time. She is traveling all the way from Pennsylvania.

Maya went to her first Ham Radio Field Day this past weekend. Even though she slept soundly in her Moby Wrap the entire time, we are sure it was soo exciting being at her first Ham Radio event.

Brad celebrated his 28th birthday yesterday! He was very excited to get a morse code paddle and an antenna for his radio. Between Sara's new MacBook Air and Brad's radio gear, parenthood has definitely not softened the technology geek inside us!
